Ron Killeen is a technology commentator, and IT and media consultant, based in Melbourne, Australia.
Ron was a producer and panelist on the popular Australian technology talk show, Tech Talk Radio, which ended after an impressive 8-year run in December 2012.
He is frequently unshaven, enjoys eating sushi, and likes wearing his Sennheiser headphones.
The good doctor has worked in the radio communications, telecommunications and voice processing industries for many years, in technical support, project management and sales management roles. He also frequently writes about himself in the 3rd person.
Ron has also featured as a guest technology commentator on radio programmes like Brett de Hoedt’s Hootville (on Melbourne’s former 3AK 1116), as well as ABC Radio National‘s Perspective with Sue Clark and Paul Barclay, and ABC Radio Adelaide’s Afternoon programme with Carole Whitelock.
Ron was employed by the Victorian Government up until quite recently, and resigned over an issue with Internet Explorer 6. He now runs his own internet hosting business and IT consultancy, Shack West. He started blogging in May 2007 as a technical experiment with some new-fangled software called “WordPress”.
